If it's true that dev kits are out, that means developers are changing focus to the new console now. If you think 2011 looks like a dry year for 360 games, 2012 would be an absolute dust bowl. Their core audience would lose patience with them and move over to PS3. If they announce in 2011, though, that new console would be hanging out in front of them to keep their attention away from others.
But yeah, i agree. E311 could see the next x-box announced with Kinect 2 built in. That would explain the lack of games over the next year. Developers are instead starting work on the next console. They set the 360 up as an alternative to the Wii for casual games and launch the next console for the core, then let them coexist for awhile until the new console goes down in price to be attractive to the casuals.
I wonder if that was an intentional reference to the price criticisms.
A big part of what makes Move work is the internal sensors. The gyroscopes and accelerometers. Anton Mikhailov has said that the technology of those has just recently gotten fast enough to make Move as accurate and fast as it is.
I think you're right that they had shelved the idea, but part of the reason was that they didn't feel that, at the time, they had the right balance of performance and cost. At the time it just didn't add enough over what the Eyetoy was...
There will also be people who knock over a lamp while playing Kinect. Accidents happen.
It just might.
Sure, ME may be more story based, but if the only way for me to play one of the highest rated games of this generation is without playing the previous one, then so be it. Does anyone believe that Bioware is NOT going to give PS3 owners some way of catching up with the story, though? That would just be stupid.
Companies buy domain names all the time just to keep other people from using them. There is one organization that buys up racist domain names in order to keep them from being available for racist organizations to use.
Kinda making a point that art forms need to sometimes be provocative to make people think or to elicit emotions.

The fastest games have latency of 67ms. 6ms added to that due the Move latency over the dualshock is pretty insignificant.
House parties were a promo thing Sony did where they sent move systems to some people with coupons for pop and pizza to show Move off to friends.
The dualshock has latency of 16ms. The extra 6ms that Move has is probably mostly from the software that runs it.
Also, I have said a few times that the lag from these motion controllers is more visible because of the physical space that you cover while making the movement. It's harder to see the lag after moving your thumb two millimeters than it is to see the lag after you swing your arm a couple feet.
You betcha.
Relativistic effects due to electrical charges moving at very high speed.
Or magic.

I like how the video shows the screen that says "DO NOT Post pictures, screenshots, or video of the Beta materials."
Edit: apparently Mushroomwig had the same thought while I was answering the phone.
I want a 3DTV for games and movies, but i don't want to watch regular TV programs in 3D. That just seems pointless to me.
You are right that "Halo 3 has higher sales than all Gran Turismo's besides 3."
BUT, Gran Turismo 1, 2, 3, and 4 each have higher sales than any Halo besides 3. The only Gran Turismo games that don't are the "prologues," "concepts" and the PSP version.

Xenosaga: Episode I had a cut-scene that lasted an hour and fifteen minutes. When it finished, I reloaded my save and watched it again because it was good. If they're good, I enjoy them as much as the rest of the game.
I mean, one time Mikhailov was asked about Kinect and his response was basically "Yeah, we worked with that technology and ran into walls with the possibilities. If Microsoft figures out a way around that, good for them, but I haven't seen any indications that they have" (paraphrased).
It was in HipHopGamer's interview with him. Pretty good interview, actually, but i don't have time to look for a link.
